It isn’t often that i laugh during a wedding ceremony…either i’m very caught up in the emotion of how touching it is or my mind is perusing the guests thinking how everyone looks (older, fatter, bald, facelift blahblahblah) and checking out who divorced who…who married who…and all of the random thoughts that accompany not seeing people for a long time…
but watching this video shed an entirely new light on getting married…it truly turned what can be a very boring ceremony into fun and a celebration…and whether you agree with the “lack of tradition” for your own wedding or not, you have to appreciate that the guests definitely were not watching their watches to find out “when this thing is going to be over!”
weddings should be a celebration…festivities that rejoice in 2 lives coming together in love to make 1 beautiful, life-long relationship (yes, i’m a romantic…still believing in love!)…and after i watched this video…several times i have to admit…it rekindled the joy that should be part of every wedding…
am i saying that everyone should do this? God forbid…no! i mean, check out some of these people…i don’t think they know what music is…reminds me of steve martin in “the jerk”…sheesh…for those individuals, stick to “here comes the bride” and do the step-together – step-together down the aisle and call it a day…
but some of the wedding party and the bride and groom made this a day to remember…
my only regret is that there aren’t videos of the reception! can you even imagine???
